We, too, went to the discs behind the desk. We originally had security
cases for everything but rock(and it's various sub genres). Those were
locked up in display cases. Things still went missing. Long drawn out
process, but this seems to be working out. The biggest problem is that
in the not too distant future, we're going to have to consider a 3rd
file cabinet. And the question will be - where to put it. Space is at
a definite premium.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
