I'm looking for a good educational distributor for a film I have just
completed. It is a classical music, World War One documentary. I do
have distributors in the UK and Australasia, but it does have US
elements (the cellist is the very fabulous Lynn Harrell and I also use
a couple of American musicologists). Can I ask in your experience of
purchasing DVDs what companies deal with historical and/or music
content and who, in your opinion, is the most easy to deal with and
good at gaining profile for their works?

I would appreciate any feedback.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
