Dennis,
whomever at your company who had the idea of donating to nursinghomes
your VHS tapes, needs to be congratulated. What an outstanding idea,
helps them, helps you.

I've seen big banners on two large rental store: LIQUIDATING OUR
ENTIRE STOCK OF VHS TAPE!

Milestone is actually in the process this month of donating most of our
VHS tapes (the ones that we also released on DVD) to nursing homes. It
costs us too much in storage and at least people will get some enjoyment
out of them rather than sending them to the shredder.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
