Hi all

This is one of my periodic reminders to list members old and new that
there are TWO listservs of internest to video
librarians: Videonews...well, you're reading this note so you
know. The other list is VIDEONEWS, a very useful electronic bulletin
board on which video and film producers and other video-related
commercial concerns can post new product and service
announcements. Videonews is a good way to learn about new video and
DVD releases--one useful way of staying current with what's out there
to be bought.

To subscribe:

1. Send message to majordomo@lists.berkeley.edu
2. Leave subject line blank
3. In body of message type: subscribe videonews

To post a message to the list: send to videonews@lists.berkeley.edu

Posting is free of charge.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
