If you have a need to distinguish between those with PPR and those
without, a "for Class or home use only" or "cannot be shown to public
audience" might be appropriate. IMHO, I'd only label those videos with
PPR, since they all be used in class (since you're not in Canada).

Subject: [Videolib] labeling of home use videos

=20

Hi all,=20

We are just starting to add more "home use only videos" to our
collection and wondered about language and labeling others might be
using (if any) for these in academic libraries. Do you label the videos
themselves with any special wording so that faculty and students know
they are home use only videos (vs. PPR) and understand how they can be
viewed/shown? Do you have wording in your online catalog? =20

Any examples would be appreciated.=20

Thank much,=20

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
