OK...turns out that the Sadak you're probably looking for is the one directed by
Mahesh Bhatt:

A taxi driver (Sanjay Dutt) goes to a brothel with his friend (Deepak Tijori)
and meets a girl (Pooja Bhatt) who was sold to the brothel owner a eunuch
named Maharani (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) - by her uncle. He arranges to buy her
freedom by selling his taxi but Maharani reneges on the promise to let the girl
go. The taxi driver helps the girl to escape but they soon have both Maharani
and the police chasing after them! Mahesh Bhatt directed the film which had hit
music by Nadeem - Shravan and lyrics by Sameer - 'Zamane Ke Dekhe Hain Rang
Hazar' and 'Tumhe Apna Banane Ki Kasam Khaayi Hai' are popular numbers.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
