I need to find out what universities are streaming videos and what system
they are using. I don't need to know about leasing like Films on Demand from
FFH. I need to know which universities are actually paying for the
copyrights to stream a particular title and hosting it in their server.

We are starting to do so, but we are having difficulties with bandwidth and
other problems. So the technology people is looking to buy some tools or
whatever to be able to do it. At this point what we have in streaming works
well if somebody is watching in an individual computers but does not work to
show in a classroom because it can't be projected due to the amount of
bandwidth we have and others.

You can reply to me directly
Thanks o much

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
