Hello,

Media has been tasked to teach a workshop on podcasting to interested
faculty and professional staff -- from a library point-of-view. =20

I want to be able to list media distributors who currently offer iPod
downloads. To my knowledge, and I've not completed a detailed search,
Film Ideas is the only company to offer iPod downloads at this time.
Although, I understand there are select television shows and feature
films available through the iPod software, etc. I'm not an iPod user
yet, but nearly every student that comes to the Information Commons has
a iPod headset stuck in his/her ears. The newer iPods have some pretty
amazing features, such as you can copy your PowerPoint presentation to
the iPod and play it back on a TV as long as you have a 3-plug av cable.
You can't change the presentation once it's placed on the iPod, but if
you loose your disk, or you can't get an internet connection at some
conference, then the iPod is a good backup. My point is, you can do a
lot with iPods.

Getting back to the real issue:

Distributors -- would you mind letting the list know if you provide iPod
downloads, and the cost.

Librarians, etc. -- would you mind sharing your list if you have
compiled this information already.

I hope this e-mail makes sense.

Thanks,
Monique
