--For a typical feature film DVD release, how do you determine the
number of copies you order?

At SFPL, each branch orders from a centrally compiled list. If fewer
than 8 brs. order a popular title

Our collection development librarians will order more copies.

=20

--Do you take patron reserves for your DVDs?

Yes. Each patron can have up to 15 reserves.

=20

--If you take reserves, how do you determine when additional copies are
necessary for purchase?

We strongly consider adding extra copies of DVDs when the holds ratio is
6:1 or greater.

=20

--What is your loan period for DVDs?

7 days; renewable for another 7 IF the item has no holds.

=20

--What is the limit on checkouts of DVD?

6 per patron (VHS and/or DVD)
