Please save the date: Friday, January 20, 6:30pm. The VRT will be
gathering for dinner at "Mi Tierra Cafe" which is located in the heart
of "Market Square," El Mercado. [Address: 218 Produce Row. Phone:

"Mi Tierra is a little loco and lots of fun. Strolling musicians, a huge
selection of clasic Tex-Mex dishes, and the coldest beer in town." See

The restaurant suggests that the best way to get there is on the San
Antonio trolleys; just ask the concierge at your hotel where to catch
the trolley. For walkers, you can get there within 30 minutes from most
conference hotels.=20

Open to VRT members and their guests. Everyone orders from the menu and
pays for his/her own dinner and drinks.=20
=20
The restaurant has graciously agreed to seat us together, but we need a
head count. Please reply to me direct, not to the listserv, if you are
planning to attend. If you want to join in the fun, you must be present
by 6:45pm, or the remaining reserved spaces will be given over to other
diners.
