Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position
The Nelson Poynter Memorial Library of the University of South Florida St.
Petersburg invites applications for the position of Head of Access Services,
a 12 month, non-tenured, faculty position at the rank of assistant or
associate librarian rank. Assistant Librarian positions begin at $39,500.
Qualifications: MLS degree from an ALA-Accredited program and at least 2
years of relevant experience in an academic or large public library, 1 year
of supervisory experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication
skills. Preferred qualifications include commitment to customer service;
knowledge of circulation, interlibrary loan, and copyright issues; reference
experience; the ability to work in a complex technological environment; and
the potential to meet academic promotion requirements, including research
and service. Responsibilities: Head of Access Services provides leadership
and management for circulation, print, electronic reserves and interlibrary
loan services; develops and articulates policies and conducts assessment and
planning activities for access services functions; and offers training,
supervision and evaluation of access services staff and student workers. A
