I'm about to inherit closer to 1000 reels of film and need to buy some
shelving. Our collection is current housed in storage cabinets with
wire shelving that allows a slot for reel. I can't find anything
similar that is currently available. A colleague at a nearby
institution simply uses deep book shelves and stacks the canisters.

Anyone bought shelving lately and can recommend a vendor?

Is vertical or horizontal shelving of canisters preferred for
preservation?
