Hi all. I was wondering if anyone else uses the 3-M Donut Security
system. We are having some trouble with these "strips" coming off of the
DVD's and ending up mucking up our playback machines. I have not
personally talked to 3-M but a representative met with our circulation
staff and has taken a DVD to their labs but we have not heard back from
them for over a month. It seems like the adhesive on the donut becomes
less effective when an item/equipment is under heavy use because this is
only happening to our most popular titles but we can't really be sure
about this theory. (also it is happening in a variety of different
equipment) Has anyone had any problems with these security devices.
Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to give us...
Best,
George
