There's the "No I don't want a biscotti with that" scene from Ghost World,
where the two main characters are trying to have a converstion in the
coffee shop where one of them works. Their conversation is part of the
plot, but she's trying to wait on customers at the same time.

Anyone out there have any coffee in the movies non-sequitor scenes to
share?

I prefer non-sequitors than actual scenes that are relevant to the plot...
