Sarah,
The movie "The gun in Betty Lou's handbag" is about a small town librarian who feels neglected by her husband, a police officer. She confesses to a murder after finding a gun in a field. While in jail she gets some advice from a local call girl and goes from mousy to spicy librarian. There is a scene in the library, an open house ?, but most of the movie is about Betty Lou and not the library. It was a fun film.

Hello-
Our library is planning to have a film festival this fall.&nbsp We want to show movies that have a focus on libraries or librarians, or perhaps books.&nbsp Does anyone have any suggestions for us?&nbsp

We don't want something like The Big Sleep or The Station Agent--good movies, but the focus is not on the librarian or libraries.

Thanks!
