I just happened across this at the Rusciso site just now. They own the
rights to a huge number of films produced by the Gor'kii film studios
(over 700 titles) filmed between 1915 and 2003. This includes a large
number of children's films produced after 1936 when the studio
reorganized as the country's first real children's film studio. There
are downloadable excel files with lists of all the films they own the
rights to available on their site (including English title [many with
pretty lousy translations, so don't go by title alone], Russian title,
director, year, genre, color/b/w, synopsis, etc.).=20

I already checked for the Perestiani and Vertov films, which someone was
looking for earlier, and they weren't there. Neither came out of this
studio.=20
