Nope, and Lee Perry and the rest of the crowd in my music collection sound
just fine without it. Of course I'll admit it might detract a little from my
Vin Diesel and/or Bruce Willis exploding-car-chase-movie viewing enjoyment,
but since I never watch Vin Diesel and/or Bruce Willis exploding car chase
movies, or space operas, or any other "action" movies to speak of, I'm
limping along just fine in my shallow nontechnophile way. Nor do I have a
giant sub woofer in my car, but I am looking into shocks that will enable me
to dance the Monte Carlo down the street.

Ah, yes, but quad has the last laugh. Or don't you have a 5.1 or 6.1 speaker
surround sound stereo? Bryan Griest Glendale Public Library

"One wonders what the short- or long-term tolerance is for ceaseless change
in the consumer electronics market. "
Remember quadrophonic sound and how it chased stereo from the marketplace?
Or DAT? About that much.
