Hello everyone -
I hope someone can help me with my latest dilemma? We know where to buy a
DVD of this movie, but I'm trying to find a U.S. distributor who has the
public performance rights. My usual resources haven't been any help.

Title: "Nausicaa" (alternate titles: Nausicaa, the Valley of the Winds;
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds, Warriors of the Wind; Kaze no tani no
Nausicaa; Kaze no tani no Naushika). This is a Japanese animation, directed
by Hayao Miyazaki, 1984.

The Internet Movie Dabatase lists production companies Studio Ghibli and
Tokuma Shoten. Do I recall something on the list a while ago about a
complicated deal between Disney and Ghibli, or Disney and Tokuma? And would
this have anything to do with my difficulty in finding a PPR distributor?

The distributors listed on IMDB include Buena Vista Home Video and Walt
Disney Home Video (but home video sources aren't any help here). They also
list New World Pictures for USA theatrical distribution (1986). Does this
company exist anymore, or has someone else taken on their holdings?

Needless to say, I'm stumped on this one, so any info you can give me would
be greatly appreciated.
