We are keeping our laser disc collection and not adding to it. We're
trying to replace those titles that we don't have in any other format with
dvd releases as they become available in anticipation of the time when our
laser disc players bite the dust. Our classrooms are not equipped with
laser disc players and so few faculty have their own that we get very few
requests for them. I've noticed that on tours of the department, many
instructors look at our collection and ask, "what are those?"
