[Videolib] VRT newsletters?

Hi Gang, Rather than e-mail just the VRT executive board on this matter, I
thought that I'd survey the entire VRT membership. I was just wondering
what happened to the last VRT Newletters? I was talking with a fellow VRTer
and we were lamenting the fact that we hadn't seen a VRT Newsletter since
Winter/Spring 2003. Also, the VRT website (hosted by ALA) still has "thank
you's from the 2003 Gala - not updated. Now, I'm not throwing stones, but
how are we supposed to attract membership when our news organs are that far
behind? I am a current member of ALA and VRT so I should be on the mailing
list (However, I'm also the absent-minded prof. type so I could be
misplacing my Newsletters). This is just a friendly inquiry, not the
Spanish inquisition - so I don't want any flames. I won't be attending
midwinter in Boston (brrrr!) but will be at ALA in Chicago this summer.
Have a great year and I hope to see many of you in Chicago. I think a great
ALA program would be to have all of the DVD repair vendors have a "repair
cookoff" - each has 15 min. in a 1 1/2 hr. program to demo their units and
give us the skinny on disc repair - maybe raffle off a free machine, etc.
Take care.
