There WERE 16mm prints, if they exist SWANK would have them
There is no indication on a DVD release. UA which owns the film has
been very aggressive in releasing their library but no way of knowing what
they plan with a particular title especially now that they have been bought
by Sony.

In general though if you are looking for a studio feature film the
information on
Amazon is as accurate as anything else re DVD release so If you DON'T see it
there
then it has not been released and has no official release scheduled

There is no magic on this issue but studios have tens of thousands of titles
to consider for DVD
and even the best studios ( Warner Bros) will take YEARS just to get their A
titles out there.
So hang out to the VHS copy of A THOUSAND CLOWNS and any other title not
yet out
on DVD

I'm looking for a DVD or 16mm film version of A Thousand Clowns (1965) starring Jason Robards. Does anyone know if there's any plans on releasing it on DVD any time in the near future?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
