Hi
F is for Fake is a classic! Wish I could do a whole class on mock-doc,
rip-offs, and reality TV. It'd be a real hoot!

Hi
Hi Gary (or anyone)--
I was just looking at this great and exciting syllabus and wanted to add my two cents-- or at least ask your advice.
Have you ever seen F For Fake (1973)by Orson Welles? Would you classify that as a fake documentary (mockumentary)?
Or is it something different?
Just curious for your thoughts. Thanks!

- Hi all...
- In an effort to get our minds off of fee-for-service issues....I'm honored to have been asked to teach the intro to documentary class in the film studies dept here at UCB next semester. Really excited about it (65 students! yow!) Thought it might be fun to share the syllabus with you (still a work in progress). I'd be very interested in hearing your comments and/or suggestions. I need all the counsel and advice I can get.
- Cheers!
