Position: Electronics Tech Media-Intermediate

Functions:
The Media Technician is responsible for providing operational and
technical support for general classrooms, technology classrooms, campus
videoconferencing, and distance education classrooms. This person will
assist customers by answering questions and providing training for all
campus technology classrooms and media equipment. The incumbent will be
responsible for a wide range of Media setup requests ranging from simple
audio systems to complex projection needs. This person will also assist
with Media Services equipment delivery, audio/video production, and
service counter operations.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a working knowledge of
instructional media technologies and equipment; competence in the
operation of distance education equipment; knowledge of how to use sound
and audio/video production technologies; experience with computers and
computer projection equipment; strong customer service skills; and the
ability to work in a team environment. Excellent oral, interpersonal,
and written communications skills are required.
Well qualified candidates will have software experience including
Windows 98/NT/2000 user interface, the Macintosh OS, Outlook email,
Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access), and Web
browsers (Internet Explorer or Netscape). A Bachelor of Science degree
relating to media technologies and at least 1 year of experience, and or
an equivalent combination of training, education and experience is
preferred.

As soon as possible.
Conditions of
Appointment: Monday - Friday, 1st shift
Salary Range: Starting pay is $14.410 per hour. A six-month probationary
period is required.
