Hi all...

We've recently completed the migration of UCB MRC's list of feature films
from flat HTML pages (what an utter drag) to an Access Database
(yay!). There's still a bit of debugging and clean-up to do, and we're
currently working with a hotshot web graphics person to purty things up a

If you want to fool around with the rough product, check
out: http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/MRC/moviedb.html

Now, we don't even vaguely purport to be competing with imdb (this is just
a list of Berkeley's movie holdings, after all -- a little under 6,000
titles currently). I've also included a couple of hundred
theatrically-released documentaries and documentary "classics" in the
collection (just for the hell of it).

Our html pages that list films by genre, theme, and language will remain
the way they are for awhile (there are links from the Movie Db search page
cited above)

The feature that might be useful to non-UCB folk is the link from
individual films to the bibliographies we've been compiling for the past
ten years or so... There are also links from most titles to the
corresponding imdb page.

In any case, have a poke around and let me know what you think.
