We have started digitizing video clips and providing course- restricted
access through our Blackboard server. I am wondering who among you is also
starting to test the waters. I want to get a sense of how faculty have
embraced it assuming its widely known that you are doing it. Also what
restrictions do you have other than the legal ones contained in the act.
For instance, how many clips are you willing to provide per faculty member
per semester? Have you encountered technical issues with longer clips? If
so, what is the suggested maximum length? We piloted it last year but have
kept a low profile until we have a better idea about the expected cost in
staff hours.
