At the University of Notre dame the collection of visual material,
primarily VHS and DVD, has been non-circulating and closed stacks. We are
considering making the collection circulating and possibly open stacks. At
the moment we have slightly more than 7,500 items in the collection. I'd
like to hear from other academic libraries regarding problems, advantages,
policies and procedures both in terms of circulation and open
stacks. Please respond off-list unless this is a topic of interest to many
people.
