The University Center for Instructional Media and Technology, University of Connecticut, is seeking a Media Producer to join a dynamic, service-oriented professional staff serving the State's Flagship University. The successful applicant will have the ability to produce high quality content for digital environments, including CD ROM, DVD, and the WWW. Applicant must be proficient with PhotoShop, Illustrator, After Effects, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash. Video production skills a plus. A Bachelor's Degree in instructional media and technology, or a closely related field of study, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience is required. 3 - 5 years experience in an area of media specialization is preferred. The successful applicant must have strong skills in traditional/digital photography, lighting, and digital color management. Duties include but are not limited to providing advanced skills in an area of specialization, serving as a consultant and resource to the University community, and meeting with clients to determine needs and desired results. Applicant must possess advanced Adobe PhotoShop skills and a working knowledge of Illustrator or other HTML software. A Bachelor's Degree in instructional media and technology, or a closely related field of study, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience is required. Instructional Designer (Academic Assistant II)

The University Center for Instructional Media & Technology and the Institute for Teaching and Learning at the University of Connecticut is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join its professional development team in the Instructional Design and Faculty Development Unit, in an ongoing effort that seeks to enhance the quality of the undergraduate and graduate programs of the university. Collectively, these talented and dedicated professionals deliver support services to some 1100 faculty in 16 schools and colleges. The University of Connecticut is the State's flagship university.

The successful candidate will possess: a background in formative and summative evaluation methodologies, excellent instructional design skills that reflect great familiarity with such matters as active/student-centered learning, multiple learning styles, information literacy, and relevant use of technology. The successful candidate will exhibit an ability to work collaboratively with a team of content specialists and media producers in developing curriculum and related products that have measurable, sustained impact. An ability to interact and effectively communicate, one-on-one, with faculty from varied disciplines is absolutely essential, as are strong presentation skills. A willingness and desire to work in a team environment is crucial.

A Master's degree, (Ph.D. preferred), in instructional design, curriculum
and instruction, educational psychology and/or a closely related field is
required. Prior experience in higher education and a strong work ethic will define
attributes of the successful candidate. The target salary is $45,000.00. This position has a one-year end-date and is subject to annual renewal.
