I may be picky, and I am sure you are aware, but your professor does know that all of those films you mention (but for Two-Lane) are from the 1960s, right?

Subject: [Videolib] box office numbers?

Dear Colleagues,

One of our professors is teaching a course on films of the 1970s. As
part of the assignment, she's asking the students to find the popular
reaction to the films by looking at the films' box office figures,
gross, etc. She's not concerned about which numbers - could be week,
total, domestic, etc., but I am having trouble helping the students find
figures for some of the films. Unfortunately, we don't have past issues
of Variety (I'm working on getting the microfilm) so this isn't going to
help them.

Thanks to Gary's website, I found and a few others so
for some of the films (e.g., Bonnie and Clyde, Easy Rider, etc.), it's
not a problem. But for others (like The Wild Bunch, Two-Lane Blacktop,
etc.) it's been tough.

We do have the Proquest Historical Newspapers Online (for NY Times, LA
Times, etc.), but these don't seem to index box office figures.

Am I missing something obvious?

Many thanks for any and all suggestions,
