I hope its not inappropriate for me to post this here. I am an MLIS student
in New Zealand. For my final research project I am going to do an
audio-visual resource needs assessment of the teaching faculty at the
university I work at. There has been precious little published on this, as
Gary states in his book. So I was wondering if anybody on this list who is
based at an academic library has done any informal or unpublished
audio-visual needs assessment, or if anybody has written material relating
to their audio-visual collection development policies, that I could view.
My other issue is that no institution in my country has a sub to College &
University Media Review, so I'm going to have to pay $30 per article for
overseas interloan. From the references I've seen I want to get the whole
run! If someone could tell me the absolutely essential articles to get that
would be great.
My project will have a strong theory component for which I am using J
Marcum's Theory of Visual Ecology.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
