Hi All,
I just wanted to throw my two cents in on this. We started circulating
DVD in Aug of 2001. We have a colleciton now of 254 titles that have
been checked out a total of 2125 times. We have had no disc problems,
no damaged discs, no breaks. (I am now furiously knocking on wood to
prevent the AV gods from layething the smackdown on my collection with a
plague of laser rot) So far so good with DVD with us, but our
collection is small and not heavily circulated.

Friends:
Mike Tribby said that DVD's tend to get fewer circulations before they
are damaged than does VHS. Has anybody done any research on this? It
sure FEELS that way to me, but I don't have any numbers.

Cheers from Dallas where it is a BEAUTIFUL fall day!!!
