I am REALLY sorry I did not save the original article to post or link
but last week in the run down of upcoming Supreme Court cases was a
fascinating note about an appeal involving the Internet Child Porn statute
which the Supremes have struck down twice already for essentially forcing
the internet access down to a child's level. In any event in the current
pleading the Justice Dept and Ashcroft argue that such a ban is essential
BECAUSE FILTERS DO NOT WORK and thus people would be unable to stop kiddie
porn from being forced on unsuspecting children. In their friend the court
brief the ACLU points out that in the now infamous decision to FORCE public
libraries to ADD FILTERS , the Justice Dept argued THAT THEY WERE EFFECTIVE
and MUST be required of libraries to REMOVE kiddie porn

Will try to find original story

Jessica
