We do not have a time limit and only currently enrolled students can use
the machines--they must have a valid user name and password. We do not
police what students get into, but the machines are in close quarters;
lack of privacy and peer pressure are genuine deterrents.
We have laptops available for checkout. They're coming back laden with
evidence of porn files and music downloads. We send the evidence to the
Dean of Students who has a very effective way of dealing with the

Technology Access Fee and not by the individual who is actually doing
the printing. The result is enormous waste and enormous amounts of
