Thu, 09 Oct 2003 16:22:18 -0400

On behalf of Re:Voir/USA, I want to extend a last minute invitation to videolib subscribers in the New York City area to the launch event for Stan Vanderbeek’s Visibles, the latest publication in Re:Voir/USA’s collection of preeminent works of experimental filmmakers on NTSC VHS. The event will take place this evening (October 9) from 7-10pm at Guild & Greyshkul, a new gallery founded by Sara Vanderbeek, Anya Kielar, and Johannes Vanderbeek, and will present an exhibition of Vanderbeek’s animation cells, drawings, and other works from the artist’s archive as well as a continuous screening of the video. Also marking the occasion of the video launch, a retrospective screening of Vanderbeek’s moving image works will be on view at Anthology Film Archives from October 10-12.

Guild & Greyshkul is located at 22 Wooster Street in SoHo, just north of Canal Street

For more information on the Re:Voir/USA Collection, visit www.usa.re-voir.com.

We hope to see you at our celebration of Vanderbeek’s visionary genius this evening!

Best regards,

Jon Gartenberg
