Thought it might be interesting to take a look at what horror films have
made it into LC's National Film Registry thus far:

Frankenstein (1931)
King Kong (1933) -- Perhaps more fantasy than horror, depending on your
definition
Psycho (1960)
Cat People (1942)
Freaks (1932)
Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Phantom of the Opera, The (1925)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Dracula (1931/I)
Fall of the House of Usher, The (1928/I)
Tell-Tale Heart, The (1953)
