RE: [Videolib] Opinions wanted on TV shows on DVD in public libra

Renee, I think this is really a individual library issue. I had all kinds
of series from "Mystery" and Masterpiece Theater that I thought would be
very popular, but just generally sit and don't go out. Agatha Christie,
Sherlock Holmes, Sharpe's series, All Creatures Great and Small, Monty
Python - generally sit. Even American miniseries generally sit, except for
Roots. I know at other libraries, these titles fly off the shelves. One
question - what is your general collection development policy say about the
type of feature films, etc., that your library collects? You could try a
couple of titles to see how they circulate. I don't know if this helps or
not.
