As the world of audio and visual media accelerates at (seemingly) mach
speed, how do we who work in public libraries keep pace? Trying to keep up
with trends, the development of new technologies, and the realities current
funding imposes on our work, often leaves little time to assess our options.
"Theory and Application: A Balancing Act for AV Mavens" is a workshop that
gives you an opportunity to step back from your daily responsibilities and
hear how people in similar--but related venues--as well as staff in public
libraries are coping with both the proliferation of media and the ever
increasing level of consumer expectation.
