Our search for the perfect shelving for our vhs/dvd collection continues . . . The college purchasing office is pushing high density moveable shelving . . . but I've heard from some list members that it is cumbersome, and can cut down on ease of access to the collection. So . . . What DO those of you with largish collections (we have over 300 DVDs, about 3,500 VHS tapes, but will be collecting mainly DVDs in the next few years) who need frequent access for retrieval and reshelving, use for shelving? What have you got, and are you happy with it? thanks for your feedback! P.S. Francis, I did look into RussBassett as you suggested, and the Gemtrak looks great to me. It is something we are going to look into further. What about the weight of the system--did you have to get a structural analysis done? Jeesh, who knew shelving could be this complicated!!!
