[Videolib] 3M DVD security

Hi again,

We recently upgraded our 3M security system at our Main Library. As
part of the upgrade, we started to use 3M's DVD security labels (donut
shape) that adhere directly to the DVD.

As a result, we have started to receive patron complaints that the new
security labels cause the DVD to be "unreadable" by DVD players. On the
examples reported to us, the labels appear to have been adhered
correctly (not off center) and were securely attached.

Has anyone else had difficulty with this type of security
label/technology? The labels (and security system) were not cheap and
security is important to us, yet I am concerned that we may be causing
the format to be useless for some patrons.

Responses directly to me are welcome. I apologize in advance if this
has already been discussed on the listserv.
