The PLA-AV Committee is presenting the program "AV 101" at Annual in
Toronto, and we'd like to know what specific topics public librarians would
like to see addressed. Like VTR's 2001 program "Reel Nitty Gritty: Secrets
of Video Librarianship Revealed," this program is aimed at new AV librarians
(or as a refresher for veterans) and will use breakout sessions to cover the
basics of AV (not just video) in public libraries. The program will be
arranged by type of collection: video/DVD; audiobooks; and music. Within
collection, topics like collection development, copyright, display,
security, etc. will be addressed.

So if there are specific areas you'd like to see discussed, please let me
know. Thanks.

Mike
