Hello Videolibers!

Some relatively momentous news on the VIDEOLIB front: On Wednesday, 12
March (next week), we will be changing the listserv software for VIDEOLIB.
The new software will solve some fairly nasty tech problems on our end,
and, more importantly, will put into your hands some of the power to make
changes to your personal listserv profile. You'll be able to start/stop
mail yourselves, establish whether or not you get mail in digest
form, AND change your email address yourselves!

This change has necessitated sending mail to all subscribers, whether they
have postponed mail from VIDEOLIB or not. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We'll be switching over next Wed in the am (PST). When we switch, you'll be
sent an email giving you a URL
from which changes to your personal mail profile can be made, along with a
password you'll need to make these changes. At the beginning of each
month, if you haven't turned off mail from the list, you will receive a
courtesy letter repeating your password and the
URL to use to get to your configuration page.

We're hoping that the switch-over will be fairly seamless and that the
change will make all of our lives a bit easier.
After we make the switch, we'll be tackling the same thing for
VIDEONEWS. Those of you subscribed to that list will receive this same
notification when that the change-over happens.

Let me know if you have problems or questions.
