Actually, I've seen this film myself, and there's a LOT of stuff that
folks could find objectionable. Strangely enough, I felt that the scene
involving the minor was pretty tame, compared to other parts of the film
which involved full frontal nudity, a lengthy (no pun intended) "sex
duel" scene, and many violent scenes, one of which involves a guy
getting his ears blown off. I could see a lot of folks having a problem
with this movie. However, as we discussed on this list before, we can't
be in the business of censorship. We're circulating to adults, after
all. Sweetback is not child pornography, but if you have reason to
suspect that a particular patron may be offended by the content, you
might simply point out that it has some graphic scenes, and then let
them decide if they still want it.
