ALA Midwinter meetings

Diane & other Gala Committee folks,
The Gala will be discussed at the Monday exec committee meeting (9:30-12:30,
and will likely take up much of that meeting), because John Sirabella of
National Film Board of Canada (who is helping to organize Gala at the NFB
studio in Toronto) is coming into town just for that meeting. Gala Chair
Jim Scholtz has been working with John on this. Unfortunately Jim can't
make it to Midwinter, but I'll share his notes with the Gala committee in
early January & with everyone else at MW. I'll also post a rough agenda in
early January with plenty of time for additions and emendations.

I've never been certain whether the moral of the Icarus story should only be
"Don't try to fly too high," or whether it might also be thought of as,
"Forget the wax and feathers and do a better job on the wings." -- Stanley

What will be covered in the Saturday and
Monday VRT meetings?
I signed on for the Gala Committee but don't know
when that committee will meet.
