Dear Videolibbers,

for those who want to get information on german film beside the main
stream I would like to recommend this journal: "KINO - German Film and
International Reports" is made by two film buffs in Berlin, film scolar
Ron Holloway and his actress wife, Dorothea Moritz. KINO is published
twice a year in English language. Each issue comprises round about 50
pages. The last edition of May 2002 offers short articles and features
about these topics and films:
Russian Ark - a film by Alexander Sokurov
>From Dante's Paradiso to Tykwer's Heaven
Vaya con Dios - a film by Zoltan Spirandelli awarded four Bavarian Film

-Shadows of Power (part of the series "Great Germans" about Willy
Brandt), a film by Oliver Storz
-Der Felsen (A Map of the Heart) - a film by Dominik Graf
-Halbe Treppe (Grill Point) - a film by Andreas Dresen
-Der Augenzeuge (The Eye Witness - video edition of the GDR newsreel,
historical original footage from documentary film archives)

Sometimes there are published special issues such as "KINO Macedonian
Film" (1997) with rare information about film in Macedonia.
