We are using a dual 1 GHz processor G4 Mac with 1 GB RAM and 2 80GB
drives. We are also using a Sony media converter, but I think the model
we are using, which works well, is no longer made by Sony. We are
converting some of our old 3/4 " tapes that are UT productions and still
used. We capture usually in Final Cut Pro and, as Gary mentioned, iMovie
if we're lazy. We are exporting as full quality Quicktime files and then
using DVD Studio Pro to make the DVDs or iDVD, again, if we're lazy. If
we want to encode derivatives, we just use Cleaner, or if we're lazy,
Quicktime Pro.

Good luck,

Troy
