Weeding titles

I am in the process of weeding our collection and I was wondering about
keeping titles such as "The Living Planet" by David Attenborough, 1984; and
"Life on Earth", by Attenborough, 1978; and "The World of Chemistry" 1989 by
the Annenberg Corp. I know the Attenborough titles are classics, but how
good is the science in them? Are they considered basic enough that the
advances in biology and life sciences isn't important for updates? And as
for the chemistry, I wouldn't have a clue. I got a D in that class in high
school! Any help is appreciated (as is the shelf space that could be
cleared!) Thanks!
