We are currently in the process of examining our lending practices for our
video and DVD collections. At this time, we lend both without restrictions.
A concern has been raised, though, regarding the high cost of some of the
videos and what it would cost to replace any should they be damaged or lost.
I have seen it mentioned on this list that some distributors will provide
replacements at a lower cost- Bullfrog comes to mind. Does anyone know of
any others who provide this service?
One of the options being bantered around is to make a copy of those videos
or DVD's which exceed a certain cost, to keep as a replacement. I would
very much appreciate hearing any thoughts or about any experiences on this
