here at CWU we used to use the booking module exclusively for Faculty checkouts,(Long story old regime at this location replaced by me)but we now use the III checkout module for all patron check-outs and use the booking module for what it is best for, reservations. It works qute well for this. It is very easy to learn, if you have any experience in III it will go fast. I am setting up loan rules to use it with A/V equipment at this time, and I do not doubt it will work fine. The only thing I have a small problem with it, is that the record of the booking goes away after the use date, it would be nice to have a record of it in case of a mistake. Also, you can not use Holds and Bookings together, they mess with each other because of the setting of future use dates. I have seen one place set up the booking module so that patrons can make bookings themselves through the III web OPAC. That seems cool.
Hope this helps,

Has anyone used the Innovative Booking module for videotapes and for audio-visual equipment? We'd like to start using it. We're interested in any comments...good or bad, training information, stumbling blocks, etc.
