Travel videos alert--"Pilot Guides"

Renee Zurn asked the list a while back about the "new" "Pilot Guides" =
travel videos being marketed to libraries, and I mentioned that Video =
Librarian was doing a review.=20

Having watched one of the titles last night, I felt this was something =
worth sharing with the listserv: namely, that some if not all of the =
"Pilot Guides" are re-packaged and re-titled "Lonely Planet" videos.=20

So, if you own titles in the "Lonely Planet" collection, you should =
check by area (i.e, the Lonely Planet title "The Vietnam Experience" has =
been re-titled by Pilot Guides to "Destination Video: Vietnam") to avoid =
buying duplicates.=20

P.S.--the Vietnam title is excellent; the one I just watched, =
"Micronesia" is not, so the quality varies within the series.
