seeking closed circuit broadcast rights for "Daughters of the

Hello Jessica. The Film and Video Library of the University of
Michigan is offering a new service where videos in the collection
that instructors want students to see would be transmitted on the
library channel of the University of Michigan Television
closed-circuit cable system. Individual programs would be transmitted
on a limited basis, a few times over about two weeks within a
semester. This would be a strictly closed-circuit transmission,
mainly into dormitory rooms or common rooms within the dorms.

An instructor has requested that we show "Daughters of the Dust" in
this manner during the fall semester. Please let me know if KINO is
able to grant permission for the closed-circuit cable broadcast of
the video, and if so what kinds of arrangements, agreements, or costs
are necessary to receive the permission. Thank you for your attention
to this request.
