keeping classic nonfiction videos

I have a couple National Geographic Videos that I would call classics - "Born of Fire" and "In the Shadow of Vesuvius." They are older, one 19 yrs old and the other 15 yrs old. Normally I would withdraw science videos that are this old but these are popular but not a current reflection of the volcanoes they discuss.

Do you still have your copies of these videos or did you find something more current to replace them with?

I also have a copy of "The Miracle of Life", c1982. Of course I have purchased the new version but the older version is a classic. What did you do with your copies?

I am curious how other libraries handle this type of video. I have to admit I have trouble withdrawing them because I like them but I wonder if the public will be confused and think that this is the current information about this topic.
